In our last recipe post, we showed you how to make delicious mac and cheese that the whole family can enjoy. In this post, we’re going to show you how to make a tasty dessert that falls into the category of quick breads to go with it.
First, let’s take a look at a short video and a few pictures to get your mouth watering.

This banana bread comes out golden brown and tastes amazing.
Pre-heat your oven to 350° and grease/oil 2 bread pans. I use olive oil to grease the pans.
Put your ripe bananas, vanilla, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a medium bowl. Mash the bananas and combine the ingredients. Set this bowl aside.
Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl, then beat the eggs into the butter mixture. Sift in whole wheat flour, salt, and baking soda. Only stir until the dry ingredients are just combined with the wet ingredients, then stir in the sour cream.
Pour your mashed banana mixture into the large bowl and combine.
Pour half of the batter into each of the pre-greased bread pans.
To make the crumb topping, cut cold butter into the flour, cinnamon, and brown sugar and combine.
Sprinkle the crumb topping over the batter and bake for approximately 35 – 40 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
